Artemisia, Founder and CEO

At the age of 21, Kelly Michel launched Artemisia, an international foundation that inspires and supports a new generation of entrepreneurs in the development of innovative market-based solutions for social and environmental problems.  She holds a Masters in Entrepreneurship from HEC School of Management (Paris) and is now working on a PhD about angel investing with social impact in developing countries.   Kelly has spent the past 10 years outside her native United States, living, studying and working in Europe, Latin America and West Africa.  She has led the development and implementation of strategy, content and methodology for Artemisia’s social-business entrepreneurship programs.  Kelly also participates in a number of US-based networks for social transformation and has been involved in the founding of two communities of privileged young people working for systemic social impact.
