In December 2002 AIESEC
Frankfurt am Main / Germany hosted a onference about developing ideas for Afghanistan: NIFA 2002 -
New Ideas for Afghanistan.
In five workshops students,
professors and professionals from the German government and NGO’s developed strategies for
reconstructing the country.
One of the Workshops: AIESEC in
Afghanistan
After the wrap-up of the
conference AIESEC in Frankfurt started building up AIESEC in Afghanistan in mid 2003. In March 2004
“Building AIESEC in Afghanistan” became a national project of AIESEC in Germany.
Since Feb 2005, AIESEC in
Afghanistan is an official AIESEC extension country and is supposed to be run completely by Afghan
students until 2006.
Until 2008 we have to fulfil
the standard AIESEC criteria in order to become a full AIESEC member.
