INTERNATIONAL INTERNSHIPS
AIESEC
being the world’s largest youth-run organization facilitates international internships to the youth
who wish to change or challenge their world view, or broaden their horizons. It provides the youth
with an integrated developmental experience comprised of leadership and entrepreneurial
opportunities. This initiative strives to challenge the youth’s worldview and help them gain a
unique combination of multi-cultural, social and entrepreneurial experiences during the formative
years of their lives.
Such
Internships can be facilitated in
two ways:
-
WAP - Work Abroad Program
-
GEP - Global Entrepreneurs Program
WORK ABROAD PROGRAM
WAP -
Work Abroad Program , which provides internship opportunities to management
and technical students. These students are usually graduates with certain work experience. An
Exchange Participant can travel to any of the 107 countries and work for some of the biggest names,
availing the fantastic opportunities and experiences that come along with it. The knowledge, skill, expertise and familiarity thus gained provide an
edge over others.

GLOBAL ENTREPRENEURS PROGRAM
GEP
–
Global Entrepreneurs Program internships revolve around finance, sales and
marketing, graphic designing, event management etc.
The Global Entrepreneurs Program for a participant would mainly consist of three phases.
Namely, Skill building blocks, where a participant would have opportunities to entrepreneurship
based training models. The second phase would be, Issue Based Experiences, where the participant
would either take responsibility or a leadership role in a project, gaining valuable skills and
networks. Lastly, the third stage being the internship itself, where the Exchange Participant would
have the opportunity to work with selected global projects in leading AIESEC countries. These
internships would be of 2 to 4 months. The Global project is being run in over 16 countries like
China, Brazil, Poland and Ukraine to name a few.
