Radio Telekomunikasi Cipta Universitas Indonesia, had existed since 1966, is a radio which is run and managed by college student memberships only. Its first name was 8EH 20 and was built by the students of  engineering faculty of UI Salemba with only 80 Watt powered radio transmitter, dedicated around the  campus.

In the following nine years, on 18th of August 1998 to be exact, RTC was officially became an organization underneath UI and changed name to Radio Telekomunikasi Cipta.

In the year of 1999, RTC was back to 89.15 FM and later, since 2004, RTC has been broadcasted  at 107.9 FM until now supported by 1 kilowatt powered radio transmitter while 17 of August was settled to be its Anniversary. With these terms, RTC has been striving since, to give its best of services in broadcasting to its listeners.

Radio Ini Berdiri pada tahun 1994 Dan Diresmikan Pada Tahun yang sama Dengan Notaris: RN Sinulingga SH Akta Nomor 366 tanggal 15 Februari 1994, dan Perubahan Akta Nomor 21 Tanggal 31 Maret 2002 Dengan Notaris Sukawaty Sumadi, SH.
