LIFE IN RED (AIESEC Project on HIV/AIDS)

LIFE IN RED is AIESEC in Sri Lanka’s HIV/AIDS initiative, focusing on raising awareness and sensitizing University students on HIV/AIDS and related issues prevalent globally and in Sri Lanka.

Objectives

• Develop a platform for creating future leaders against HIV/AIDS in University communities in Sri Lanka.
• Make available knowledge and experiences on HIV/AIDS from across the world to all stakeholder groups.
• To connect diverse groups of stakeholders to build a sustainable initiative on HIV/AIDS awareness raising targeting the youth of Sri Lanka.

AIESEC in Sri Lanka partnering with Standard Chartered Bank aims to educate the youth in the country to be self aware of the HIV/AIDS epidemic and thus to prevent the spreading of the disease. AIESEC with the support of Standard Chartered Bank has conducted several workshops, events under the Life in Red Initiative and impacted more than 1500 University students and youth from Higher Educational institutes.
