Leadership Opportunities

Leadership is one of the key attributes individuals develop through the AIESEC experience.

In fact, AIESEC offers over 7.700 leadership positions each year at the local, national and international level. Companies at global, national and local level recognize our power to develop the leaders of the future and choose to work with us.

We are entirely run by university students & recent graduates. The heart and energy of our organization are the volunteers that run our over 800 local offices, making up about 98% of the membership. The remaining 2% (about 250 people) are very recent graduates or students on leave that are working full-time in our national & international offices.

The fact that we can manage a global organization with over 35.000 people, 800 offices, 4.000 partners and 470 conferences with a bunch of university students is impressive. The fact that the entire management turns over every year is even more impressive.

This is what makes AIESEC so unique & what gives you so many opportunities to take on leadership. We are in need of new people to step up & take on leadership roles, quickly.

Types of Leadership Positions

• Leading a functional team of 5-7 people at the local level in exchange, people development, external relations, or finance.  
• Running a project or conference team.
• Being president or member of a local executive board in charge of coordinating efforts of 15-75 volunteer members.
• Joining the national leadership team coordinating efforts, partnerships, and strategy of the entire country.
• Forming part of a global support team to drive strategies and develop resources in a particular area.
• Work abroad for an AIESEC local or national team in a different country for a period of 2 to 12 months.
• Make it to AIESEC International a team of 20 individuals leading the efforts of the global organization.
