AIESEC Vietnam was started in October 2006 as an official Expasion of AIESEC
in Japan thanks to the strong will of
Rie Shida, the Japanese girl who committed 1 year to the opening of AIESEC
in our country, and
Reetika Joshi, an indian girl that contributed to the recruitment of the first
members of AIESEC in Vietnam
Now, in less than three year, AIESEC in Vietnam can count more than 220
members from over 15 of the top universities in Vietnam, settled in 5 different local chapters (2
in Hanoi and 3 in HCMC).
Full-time supported by an executive team of 5 people, mixed internationals
and Vietnamese, all together we work as volunteers to have a positive impact on society and develop
the public awarness about social and economical issues.
Organizations like: Unilever, Sacombank, Mai Linh Group, TNT, Standard
Charter, actively contribute to our growth participating to our Global Intenship Program "Exchange"
to access international graduates for work placements at their organization. At the same we provide
life changing experience to vietnamese students that join our "Exchange" program, and to people
that everyday challenge themselves in local chapters to develop their skills and get Leadership
positions inside the organization.
All of our activities aim to provide to young people a platform to explore
and develop their leadership potential and have a positive impact on society.
