Balkan Case Challange

 

The competition called Croatia Case Challenge this year will take place in early May 2010. in Zagreb, where students will gather from all over Croatia in order to win this prestigious award. The project objective is to promote learning methods based on examples from actual working practice, to foster a competitive spirit among students, as well as to connect students with companies that participate in the project. All of this in order to boost cooperation between educational institutions and economic organizations.

 

The event will be held in four disciplines:

    * Business Case Competition offers real Business Case Study for students of economics, business administration, management and marketing.


    *
The Law Moot Court is a simulation of a trial before the International Court of Justice intended for students of law faculties

     * European Council Model is a simulation of the European Council, where students have the opportunity to play the role of heads of States or Governments of the European Union as well as the Commission President.


    * A case study of information and communication technology is designed for students in these or related fields. ICT Competition simulates the application of ICT in a particular business context.

 

Why register?


Participation in the competition allows you to apply theoretical knowledge in practice through the resolution of cases and simulations long before graduation and employment. Solving case studies students will share their knowledge and experience with colleagues and competitors, trainers and representatives of companies and will improve their specific skills and get additional information about their future career during the training for case study solving.

 

Who can apply?


Law, economics, political sciences, information technology students or students of related disciplines, public as well as private universities, with excellent skills and outstanding academic results.


Students who speak English fluently (the competition is held in English).


Students under 28 years of age at the time of the application.


Students that are expected to complete their studies within a year to a maximum of 2 years from the time of the application.

 

Winners of the Croatian Case Challenge competition will directly qualify for the international competition at the final Balkan Case Challenge, held in the beginning of July in Vienna, where they will have the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and experience among representatives of 11 other countries in the East-European region.
