Brno is the second largest city in the Czech republic and the capital of the southern region known as Moravia. It is surrounded on three sides by hills: The Drahany and Bohemia-Moravia ranges to the north as well as the opening tho the southern Moravian lowlands to the south. The city of Brno has an exciting mix of architectural styles that contrast wonderfully with the surrounding greenery, making Brno one of the most exciting and interesting places in the Czech republic to visit. Brno is famous for many things including trade fairs and the motorcycle Grand Prix. Its most famous export by far is however, the regional beer, Starobrno.

Like the rest of the Czech republic, Brno experiences a four season year; Spring (March to May), Summer (June to August), Autumn (September to November) and Winter (December to February). It has a relatively mild climate that makes it a pleasant place to live, although short heat waves are known to occur in the heart of summer.
