Winter 2009 National Training Seminar
Riga, 25th February, 2009. This weekend (February 28th – March 1st 2009)
AIESEC in Latvia will hold the national training seminar (NTS) for the new recruited members
members and exchange participants from Riga, Valmiera and Ventspils.
The aim of this educational seminar is to show what are the possibilities of
self-development through AIESEC experience and what opportunities AIESEC in Latvia can offer. The
delegates of the seminar will be introduced to the AIESEC history, vision, aims, working
processes and perspectives.
Winter 2009 National Training Seminar is organized by AIESEC Riga and it will
take place in guest house „Ide” (find how to get there
here), situated on
the outskirts of Riga, which will make the event not only educational, but also enjoyable both for
delegates and the international team of facilitators from Czech Republic, Romania, Lithuania,
Russia and Latvia.

Riga, 2nd November, 2008. Over 250 young people and 150 business representatives from 10
countries will gather in Latvia at international conference Energy 2008 from 21st to 23rd
of November to get practical skills, negotiate on joint projects and celebrate 60 years of
developing leadership. Conference will consist of few parts and include city-scale festival of
cultures Global Village, Leadership Conference with students of Latvia and celebration of 60th
Anniversary AIESEC Globally.
AIESEC conference Energy 2008 brings together young leaders and business representatives from
Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Russia, Kazakhstan, The Netherlands, Italy, Poland, Czech
Republic, Slovenia, Romania, Ukraine and offers them the space to get connected to
the current issues and trends influencing social-economic environment world-wide and the Baltic
countries in particular, to gain related practical skills and develop a proactive attitude that
needed for young professionals and future leaders.
At Leadership Conference global and top Latvian companies will run sessions related to
leadership development for 400 participants - AIESEC leaders and students from the Latvian
universities.
AIESEC 60th Anniversary aims to reunion more than
100
alumni –today’s leaders of business, government and non-corporate world. This is
an opportunity to connect alumni from different generations and countries and built powerful
network.
Energy 2008 will be launched by Global Village that will take place in Galerija Centers.
Citizens and guests of Riga will be able to get to know the cultures of countries participating in
conference. The concept of Global Village was set up in order to bring in one place the diversity
of cultures by country presentations, national dances, food and drinks, stories, national
costumes.

Energy is a conference organized each year in cooperation with AIESEC Lithuania and AIESEC
Estonia.
