| AIESEC was born in Bucharest in March 1990 with the support of an AIESEC Austria delegation. Since our founding in 1990, we
were among the first non-governmental organizations in Romania and we have proved to be very
important in the field of youth development. During our first 15 years of existence, we extended in
13 local committees , which connect the most important university centers and towns in Romania.
These committees are situated in Bucharest, Brasov, Constanta, Cluj-Napoca, Craiova, Galati, Iasi,
Oradea, Pitesti, Ploiesti, Sibiu, Timisoara and Tirgu-Mures .
