AIESEC in general

AIESEC is a platform for the students who wish to develop professionally and personally by undertaking various leadership positions, working in projects and going on international traineeships.

Our main purpose is to recruit students who would like to go on a traineeship abroad and, likewise, we receive trainees from all over the world who work in Danish companies.

The Danish companies have the possibility to headhunt international academics who possess the exact qualifications and competencies that they need. AIESEC is present  110 countries and territories and we have at our disposal a database of approximately 10.000 students and newly qualified academics in search of traineeships.

AIESEC at Aalborg University and University College of Northern Denmark

The local committee of AIESEC AAU was founded in 1974 and has participated in the AIESEC exchange programme since that time by sending students abroad and providing the business region of Northern Jutland with top talented students from all over the world. The memberbase usually consists of 20-30 engaged members working towards a bigger impact and bringing the local committee into the future. Currently we have in AIESEC AAU 43 active members.  Several pro active members also take up the opportunity of working for AIESEC on a national level in Denmark or abroad for a year.

In AIESEC AAU we dearly value diversity exemplified in how the local committee consists of students from various study lines and with different nationalities. This mixed group of members creates exciting team dynamics and the possibility to draw on the skills that people learn at different studies at the university.

Locally at Aalborg University we work hard towards creating bridges between Danish and international students giving them the chance to interact. We believe that it's a shame how internationals decide to come to Denmark to study only to find it very difficult to actually interact with Danes. We are always looking to start projects or find more ways in which we can facilitate interaction between international students and Danish culture.
