AIESEC Activities

The power and impact of AIESEC comes in the diversity of our activities. The core AIESEC activity is the global exchange programme and the leadership training and development. Our conferences are the forums for learning and networking that glue together our activities and organisation.

Global exchange
Common across all of our activities is the exchange process (or learning process) through which we facilitate the development of people. We believe that a series of different experiences when put together can lead to powerful change within an individual.

We annually give thousands of young people an international exchange opportunity, placing bright students into traineeships lasting from 6 weeks up to 18 months in every sector - business, public or civil society. To enrich their experience we create opportunities for them to interact with their local environment and its challenges.

Our members are involved will all the phases and activities in the exchange programme from selling it to companies to take care of the trainees coming to Denmark.

Conferences of learning
Imagine a moment where the strength of a global network comes together to create an intense learning experience. An AIESEC conference is that kind of a moment.

For AIESEC, conferences are an opportunity to train members, develop strategies, discuss issues, and engage with stakeholders. For members, it is a great opportunity to receive training, build personal network, demonstrate leadership, have discussions on strategic development and world issues with the business sector and people from all over the world. And not to forget: It is a great opportunity to have fun!

We offer our members:
• Ownership of their learning and the learning of others
• Opportunity to build networks of support for the future
• Opportunity to see things from a different perspective
• Support and environment to explore themselves and their future
• Knowledge and skills to make things happen

Leadership characteristics we develop:
• Strong management skills
• Socially minded leadership
• Interaction and appreciation of diversity
• Opportunities to be creative and to act in a proactive manner
• Individuals who practice active learning
• A learning environment through the open sharing of information and ideas
