Internships Abroad

Gain professional and personal skills that will benefit you for the rest of your life and get a head start on your career. Go on an AIESEC traineeship. It will give you an invaluable international work experience for a period of 6 weeks to 18 months.

We offer traineeships in local to multinational companies, NGOs and the public sector – both in the “West” and in developing countries. Each year, we provide over 5,500 students and recent graduates the challenging opportunity to live and work in a foreign country in areas of management, information technology, education, and development.

Types of traineeships:
• Management:  Traineeships in administration, finance, accounting, marketing, project management and HR.
• Development:  Usually with NGOs and usually relate to wide variety of issues in community development.
• Technical:  Traineeships related to management and development of IT, web, software, networks, and databases, plus some engineering.
• Education:  Traineeships related to promotion, curriculum development, teaching, and counselling in the educational sector.

AIESEC provides:
• Cultural preparation prior to departure
• Matching and access to on-line database of international internships
• Visa (work- and stay permit)
• Accommodation
• Pick-up from the airport etc.
• Integration into the local culture

Costs of an AIESEC traineeship:
• Fee for participating in the exchange programme: DKK 2,500 (Write an essay or make 30 min presentation upon returning to Denmark and DKK 500 are reimbursed)
• Cultural preparation conference: Is included in the exchange fee
• Airfare to and from the traineeship destination
• Visa and permits, airport taxes and vaccinations

Salary:
• “Graduate salary” (covering living costs and “pocket money”)
• Development traineeships: Normally unpaid but with a stipend (in most cases) which will cover most of or all living cost, or you will be provided with accommodation and food.
