Exchange-Home Exchange Application Form Requirements Fees
Exchange is the most intense learning experience that we offer and links together our global network. Each year, we provide over 5,500 members the challenging opportunity to live and work in a foreign country in areas of management, information technology, education, and development.


You can apply  using  online application form or  by contacting  Irene Eriksson - our Vice President Outgoing Exchange.

Types of Exchanges:

  • Management – traineeships related to administration, finance, accounting, marketing, project management and HR.
  • Development – usually with NGOs, traineeships usually relate to wide variety of issues in community development.
  • Technical – traineeships relate to management and development in web, software, networks, and databases, plus some engineering.
  • Education – traineeships relate to promotion, curriculum development, teaching, and counseling in education sector.

Steps of the process:

  1. Contact your Local Committee and join AIESEC
  2. Introduction to AIESEC - becoming a member gives you opportunity to work in AIESEC different functional areas and gain a deeper understanding about AIESEC as organization and how it can benefit you.
  3. Application to Work Abroad Phase – after joining our information events, you can apply for the Work Abroad Phase. It includes a review process to assess your experiences and motivation for doing an AIESEC exchange.
  4. Preparation – AIESEC provides resources, trainings and support to prepare you to live and work in another country and help you to take the most out of the experience. This includes defining expectations and goals for the traineeship.
  5. Matching – You will get access to our on-line database of traineeships. The more flexible you are the better.
  6. Integration – AIESEC members in your host chapter abroad provide support and assistance in getting setup  and opportunities for cultural and social integration. AIESEC also supports you in your learning process during the traineeship by continuously following up your pogress. 
  7. Re-Integration – the local AIESEC chapter helps you through the re-adjustment process to support your learning process when you return home.
