1.      Greetings from Team Fuzion

The new MC team has settled down at the office in Katajanokka and the term has started effectively. The MC members have met with their functional teams and set the direction for the new term. In August Team Fuzion will be busy with seminars, first with organizing the Scandinavian Leadership and Development Seminar in Denmark and right after that the whole team will head to the beautiful Malaysia for International Congress. Team Fuzion is looking forward to maintaining and developing the Alumni Relations in AIESEC in Finland with you.

2.      National Updates

The new Board of AIESEC in Finland has been selected. The Chairman Matti Peittilä and the board members Anna-Riikka Kärnä, Sami Vänskä, Kira Anttila and Pak Yang Chum have started their term by redefining the role of the board in AIESEC in Finland and setting plans for the term.

National TN raising competition was held in May-June to support in achieving the TN goals set for the first quarter. The competition brought desired results and the goals were achieved. The winner of the competition was LC Tampere.

Local Committees have been busy with members and Exchange Participants (EP) recruitment preparations, raising TNs and reshaping their web pages according to the new brand layout.

3.       What’s in for You?

To increase the relevance of Alumni Board in AIESEC in Finland, it will be restructured into Wisdom Council. The body will facilitate discussions about specific issues and in this way bring ideas on how to develop our functions further. Wisdom Council doesn’t require involvement for the whole year, In short, choose the issue that interest you and the period that best fits you. Wisdom Council is also open for members.

Alumni Reunion

Inspired by last year’s successful 60th Anniversary gala, we would like to keep up the tradition and organize an event for You this year as well, namely Alumni Reunion. (Don`t worry, nothing fancy or expensive due to economy crisis, but the quality of the content is going to be great ). This event is going to be held for the first time on the 31.10.2009 in Helsinki simultaneously with ACCESS seminar ( 30.10.-1.11.2009).

The Alumni Reunion offers a platform for You to network with each other, members and external partners as well as to participate in the panel discussion titled ‘Internationalisation and innovation at workplace’.

If you have ideas or wishes for Alumni Reunion, you are welcome to take part in the Wisdom Council or contact MCVPTM.

So mark the dates on your calendar and stay tuned for further information!

You will soon have a unique opportunity to challenge the members and to boost their motivation to achieve their goals!

4. Special recognition to…

… AIESEC Tampere for organizing a successful 1st Year Anniversary which gathered 18 alumni and 13 members to celebrate the one year old LC.

… AIESEC Oulu alumnus Ugur Kaner for taking an intern to his company.
