The Process Step By Step

There are 8 simple steps that need to be completed to go on an internship with AIESEC. Every single step is an important contribution to making your experience unforgettable.

Step 1: Attend one of our information meetings.

Students who would like to go on an internship with AIESEC have to first attend one of our information meeting to get the knowledge of what it means to go on an internship with us.

Step 2: Apply online.

Students who want to go on an internship are raised as short-term members in the local committee. This means that you have the opportunity to engage and attend conferences, trainings and parties in the period before you leave for your internship. It is up to you to decide how much time you want to invest.

Step 3: Receive match ability status.

This ensures you that the kind of internship you are looking for is something that we can offer from our AIESEC database.

Step 4 : Interview

After deciding that you want to go on an internship, you go through the interview. Here, your English skills will be tested, as well as your motivation and your attitude for your internship.

Step 5: Pay first installment of the program fee (2500 SEK).

After a successful interview, you will be asked to sign the internship contract and then you will pay the program fee first installment within 10 working days.

Step 6: Get AIESEC training and an EP manager to support you.

Your Exchange Participant Manager (EPM) who is well educated in this area will support you when you set up your account in our database and give you all the training you need to be able to apply for internships.

Step 7: Find an internship in our database. / Pay second installment of the program fee.

Once your account is set up, you are ready to browse through the database and send your CVs to AIESEC offices all around the world. It is also possible that a company or internship manager contacts you directly for their open internship.

Before you are "matched" to an internship and when you send an "acceptance note", you will pay the second installment of the program fee [2500 SEK for the Global Internship Program (GIP); 1000 SEK for the Global Community Development Program (GCDP)]. In case you are not able to find an internship within 12 months, you have the possibility to get a refund of 4500 SEK for the GIP and 3000 SEK for the GCDP.

Naturally, AIESEC Linköping will do their absolute best to make sure that you will find an internship before this period elapses and with over 5.500 internships in our database that should be possible

Step 8 : Get prepared and go abroad!

Before you leave for your internship, you will be given outgoing exchange preparation materials, which will prepare you for your internship abroad. An apartment as well as all necessary documents for getting a visa is organized by the hosting AIESEC committee. They also help you during the first few days when you arrive at your destination and introduce you to the other interns.
