COMMENT ?Nous offrons aux associations culturelles et aux
étudiants issus de multiples horizons, l’o pportunité de présenter leurs pays, leurs origines ainsi
que leurs patrimoines. De ce fait, une trentaine de pays et régions seront représentés au travers
de stands d’information et pourront se faire connaître en présentant toutes sortes de spécialités,
de la cuisine à la danse en passant par l'artisanat et la musique. Les quelques 2’200 visiteurs,
issus de la communauté universitaire et de la population locale, se verront offrir un vaste
panorama de la diversité culturelle présente à l'Université de Lausanne et à l’EPFL.
Le but du Global Village étant d’informer et de regrouper les différentes communautés,
valeurs qui nous sont chères, cette manifestation repose sur son entière gratuité. En effet, le
principe de Global Village est que chaque visiteur puisse se laisser emporter au gré de ses désirs
dans ce tour du monde miniature et goûter gratuitement au charme des spécialités culturelles des
différents pays. C’est une chance pour nous de réunir dans un but non lucratif un maximum de
personnes motivées à œuvrer pour un véritable travail local d’intégration. |
HOW?We offer to cultural associations and students from multiple
backgrounds, the opportunity to present their country, their origins and their heritage. Thus,
around thirty countries and regions will be represented through information stands and will be
known by presenting all kinds of specialties from the kitchen to dance through crafts and music.
About 2,200 visitors from the academic community and the local population, will provide a broad
overview of the cultural diversity at the University of Lausanne and EPFL.
The goal of the Global Village is to inform and bring together different communities, values
that we hold dear, this event is completely free. Indeed, the principle of Global Village is that
every visitor can get carried away according to his desires in this miniature world tour and enjoy
the charm of cultural specialties of various countries. This is a chance for us to unite in a
non-profit goal as many people motivated to work for a real work of local integration. |
