WO UND WANN?

Dieses Jahr findet am 6. Oktober an der Universität St. Gallen zum ersten Mal ein Global Village statt. Alle Studierenden und Lehrenden der Universität sind herzlich eingeladen, sich uns zu diesem Anlass vor dem A-Gebäude anzuschliessen und die kulturelle Vielfalt unserer Uni zu zelebrieren.

WHERE AND WHEN?

The Global Village event will take place next semester Wednesday on October 6 ^th. It will be hosted for the first time at the University of St. Gallen by the student association AIESEC. All students and professors are invited to join us in front of the A-Building and discover and participate in the cultural diversity of our university.

WAS?

- Interkulturellen Austausch in der aka-demischen Gemeinschaft verstärken

- Ein besseres Verständnis zwischen den verschiedenen Gemeinschaften, welche die Universität St. Gallen kennzeichnen, fördern

WHAT?

- Willing to promote intercultural exchange and understanding within the academic community

- Promote a better understanding and cooperation between different communities that make up the cultural landscape of St. Gallen

WIE?

Wir bieten kulturellen Vereinigungen und Studenten von unterschiedlichem Hintergrund die Möglichkeit, ihr Heimatland, ihre Herkunft und ihr Erbe zu präsentieren. So werden fünfzehn bis zwanzig Länder und Regionen durch Informationsstände die Möglichkeit haben, ihre kulinarischen und kulturellen Spezialitäten den Besuchern näher zu bringen.

Das Ziel des Global Village ist es, unsere verschiedenen Gemeinschaften und Werte zusammenzubringen. Der Anlass ist kostenlos. Das Prinzip des Global Village ist es denn auch, dass jeder Besucher sich in dieser kleinen Welttournee verliert und sich nach seinen Wünschen an den kulturellen Spezialitäten der verschiedensten Länder zu erfreuen. Dies bietet uns die Gelegenheit, unter einem wohltätigen Ziel mit motivierten Personen jeden Hintergrundes einen Beitrag zur lokalen Integration zu leisten.

HOW?

We offer to cultural associations and students from multiple backgrounds the opportunity to present their country, their origins, and their heritage. Thus, around fifteen to twenty countries and regions will be represented through information stands that will exhibit all kinds of specialties from the kitchen to dance through crafts and music.

The goal of the Global Village is to inform and bring together different communities and values that we hold dear. This event is completely free. Indeed, the principle of Global Village is that every visitor can get carried away according to his desires in this miniature world tour and enjoy the charm of cultural specialties of various countries. This is a chance for us to unite in a non-profit goal as many people motivated from any background to work for a real work of local integration.
