1. Share your Expertise with AIESEC Chapel Hill
Our Local Committee at Chapel Hill is made up of aspiring global leaders that want to have a positive impact on society.  We always welcome those that have much more experience than us and would be interested in sharing their expertise so that we can have a greater impact as a nonprofit organization.  This sharing could come in the form of being paired with a Vice-President of our Local Committee in a field that you have experience, giving interactive presentations during our weekly meetings to all members, or participating in events that our local committee carries out.  We would most benefit from experience in one of the following:
  • Human Resources
  • Communications/ Public Relations
  • Marketing/ Advertising
  • Nonprofit Management
  • International Relations
  • Large-scale Event Planning
  • Local/Global Market Trends
  • Entrepreneurship

2. Participate in the Board of Advisors
Board of Advisors Overview
As a nonprofit organization, we have a Board of Advisors that serves as a consultative group of ~10 leaders of the university, businesses, and nonprofits in the Chapel Hill area.  The Board of Advisor members are interested in developing tomorrow's leaders through the development of the organization AIESEC Chapel Hill.  Our members come from different segments and industries such as corporate (Fortune 500/Medium/Small businesses), entrepreneurs, not-for-profit, education, and government.


Board Member Role

  • Attend the 3-4 meetings of the Board of Advisors annually (6-8 hours/ year).
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to expand our activities and better our organizational performance whether it be through ideas or introductions to individuals or organizations.
  • Provide advice and coaching to the Vice-Presidents of the organization in communications, business development, outgoing exchange, finances, talent management, or events.
  • Be available for consultation in regards to specific questions related to organizational strategy.

AIESEC Chapel Hill's Role

  • Provide regular communication of progress towards organizational goals.
  • Provide organization reports before all meetings.
  • Organize Board of Advisors meetings.

Board Member Benefits

The principal benefit for the Board of Advisors is the opportunity to contribute to the development of professional youth who are proactive, socially responsible, globally minded, and recognized for their characteristics of being agents of change in the global community.  Other benefits include:
