AIESEC RECORDS
:: LC Southampton, UK from 1976 to 1979
:: LCT, followed by National Committee (NCT)

Among all the alumni, Akber is one of those who have been most involved with AIESEC, and this in a consistent way in the more than 20 years since he left AIESEC. He is always available to help the Association grow and evolve, without wanting to push it in any specific way. Whenever any AIESECer needs his help as mentor or trainer, he will always try to accommodate him/her in his very busy schedule. He changed the way AAI operates in a decisive way. He really embodies the AIESEC spirit.

POST-AIESEC SUPPORT
Akber has been involved both at National (UK) and international level, by his availability for members of the NCP(MCP) and AI. They could and always contact him for advice and for participation in events as speaker or trainer.

Was a trainer at International Congress 1998 in Stockholm and 2000 in Edinburgh. He took part as a speaker/trainer in many other events ranging from President Meetings to regional meetings and LCs.

Through support of his employing company Akber made available the financing for the salaries of the people in charge of the organization of the parallel AAI congress at IC 2000. Over the past 20 years, Akber has made many financial contributions at all levels to the AIESEC organization.

Akber has been a member of AAI since 1993. Ever since he has been very helpful in mentoring the Executive Board of AAI. On several occasions, he has been responsible for financial aid to AAI as well.

In 1995, he was President of AAI.
