CONTRIBUTION
Paul is undoubtedly one of the most active alumni in the UK, having sustained this for over
7 years. He is as much part of the organisation as most members and regularly receives the thanks
of his fellow directors for the work he puts in on top of the required amount. All his work is done
voluntarily and he instills a large degree of confidence in the members, who know the Member
Committee is being held accountable for their actions.
Paul is very well known amongst
AIESEC UK current members. Due to his role as a director of AIESEC UK, Paul takes a very hands on
approach, attending Conferences in the UK and attending any AIESEC organised event. He consistently
makes himself available to the LC members, especially in respect to explaining the role and
responsibilities of the Board of Directors. He has a very close bond with local committee VPF's as
he is always willing to explain the workings of the financial structures of AIESEC to them,
providing detailed and accurate training sessions in their tracks at conferences.
The majority of Paul's activity
is on a National Level. Paul is one of the longest serving members of our Board of Directors since
its inception in the early 80's. He tirelessly puts in hours of work for AIESEC UK, attending Board
meetings (one per month) but also his work in ensuring the financial sustainability of the
organisation. Paul works very closely with the AIESEC UK accountant to ensure the accounts are
accurate and that all necessary paperwork is filed with companies house and the charities
commission.
On top of this Paul also
provides many hours of support in relation to looking after all the legalities of AIESEC, working
with our solicitors to ensure all contracts we enter into are as we wish them to be.
More recently Paul also became a
member of the board of directors for IC2000. This doubled his workload for AIESEC having at least
one other meeting per month, plus again undertaking a great deal of extra work in terms of finance
and legal admin. During the event he actually spent the complete duration of the conference at the
event assisting the OC.
