"Peter Ivett is one of the most generous individuals AIESEC has the fortune of knowing. Peter's unwavering dedication is one of AIESEC in Australia's greatest assets. The wealth of support he has provided to so many young people is immeasurable. It is a true privilege to know and work with Peter." - Kate Hanlon,
Turkey, 2007 – When asked who has been the most influential person for AIESEC in Australia without being alumni, members of AIESEC in Australia would be likely to name Peter. Peter is the only person to hold the title of Honorary Alumni of AIESEC in Australia, and it is not hard to understand why he was awarded the title. According to members, AIESEC in Australia would not be where it is today without the unwavering support Peter has provided for more than a decade. Peter is a co-director of a leadership development and executive coaching consultancy, Viventé Australia, and gives his expertise to AIESEC in Australia whenever needed. Peter truly loves what he does, and transmits his passion to the member committee through training sessions he holds at least quarterly with every member of the Member Committee. In addition, he provides training to Sydney based local committees on similar topics in leadership and management at the adequate levels several times per year. In order to make sure that his impact reaches every member, Peter also runs training sessions at national conferences, always tailoring the content to the specific audience. Understanding the needs of AIESEC in Australia very well, Peter has been the personal mentor of all MCPs since 1999, and when asked, would also mentor other members of the member committee.Another area of important support has been the nine years Peter was part of the Board of Advice of AIESEC in Australia. He has given space now for new advisors to join the board and give perspective, but is honestly missed by the Member Committee, and it is hoped that he will be back soon.. Finally, Peter opens doors wherever he can for AIESEC in Australia through his immense network of contacts, and thus completes the picture of the "Honorary Member" he has been recognized to be. |
