Samuel Leslie Adetola
"We hereby declare our indelible mark of respect to Mr. Samuel Leslie Adetola as a true Agent of Positive Change who provides strategic advisory and Leadership trainings, highly invaluable network of business and AIESEC alumni contacts and contributes to our Internship Program." - Vincent Opoku,
Turkey, 2007 -Contributing to the sustainability of organizations and communities is a red thread that goes through Samuel’s life right from his time in AIESEC in Ghana until today. While working as local committee president and member committee president, Samuel not only achieved a high number of exchanges, he also built a long-term plan for AIESEC in Ghana that lead to sustainable growth of the local committees. Growing the organization also meant to support the re- -establishment of the local committee in the University of Cape Coast and strengthening the Local Committee of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, and ensuring considerable media exposure until multinationals operating in Ghana were actively seeking partnerships with AIESEC in Ghana. Nowadays, sustainability is still a big theme in Samuel’s engagement with AIESEC: he trains members at AIESEC conferences, mentors members from all levels of the organization, and goes out of his way as a member of the Board of Advisors to provide contacts, open the right doors, and establish new financial and exchange partnerships for AIESEC in Ghana. The Capital Group, Samuel's brainchild and current business is one of the highest ranking businesses in Ghana and as such a regular employer of AIESEC interns from all over the world. Not only does this mean sustainable and constantly more numerous opportunities for AIESEC members to live AIESEC experiences, Samuel also makes sure that he contributes to the sustainable development of his community by allowing the interns secondments as teachers supporting the local school when it is understaffed. The Capital Group has also been an important supporter of the sustainable implementation of the Make A Dierence Project between AIESEC in Ghana & AIESEC in Norway that aims building business relationships between North – South Countries. |
