We are very happy to announce that the AIESEC Partnership at Alcatel-Lucent was recognized and selected as a winner of the 2008 CSR champions awards!

“The CSR Champions Award program is a great initiative, which emphasizes the deep involvement of all Alcatel-Lucent teams across the company on corporate citizenship, wherever they live and work,” said Ben Verwaayen, CEO Alcatel-Lucent. “I know all of you share my desire to work for a company that is making a difference in the world, and I am very proud to see that this year champions are from so many different regions and activities.”< /font>

The AIESEC program was recognized under the "Social Innovation" category as a unique project that is mutually beneficial to Alcatel-Lucent and AIESEC. The diversity of the AIESEC members and internship locations, the magnitude of the impact (over 100 interns on-boarded till date) and the cooperation between Alcatel-Lucent teams across different regions to make this possible are just some of the factors that make this program noteworthy.
