Global AIESEC Awards here...

The Global AIESEC Awards were launched in 2000 at the AIESEC International Congress in Edinburgh, Scotland. From having only the category of " Global Alumni Hall of Fame", the Global AIESEC Awards now also include the " AIESEC Entrepreneurship and Leadership" as well as the " AIESEC Contribution Award". Winners of the two latter awards are eligible for another nomination for the Global Alumni Hall of Fame Award in later years if their profiles continue to grow.

In 2008, the new category of " Global Young AIESEC Alumni Contribution Award" is established in order to honour young alumni who are making a big difference to the current AIESEC network. All details can be found in the criteria section .

Alumni can be nominated by AIESEC countries, individual alumni, Alumni groups/associations, and AIESEC International once a year during a the nomination period in the spring of each year. The selection for the awards is done by a committee consisting of an alumnus of AIESEC International, an external representative from an AIESEC partnering organization, a member of an AI Supervisory Group, President of AIESEC International and the Global Alumni Relations Manager.

Through the Global AIESEC Awards we aim to:
  • Reinforce the leadership characteristics and attitudes desired in AIESEC by highlighting role-modeling alumni who exemplify our values and who had an outstanding contribution in AIESEC and within their community.
  • Profile and showcase alumni to the world, and acknowledge their contribution globally.
  • Motivate alumni to become re-involved with AIESEC.
  • Position AIESEC alumni internally to allow the active membership to connect with AIESEC history and learn from past experiences.

Before the Global AIESEC Awards were institutionalized in 2000, AIESEC used to recognize its deserved alumni by inducting  them to the prestigeous group of the I nternational Senior Members.
Alumni were given status of international senior members following a decision of the global plenary of AIESEC. To view the list of the International Senior Members click here .
