With the input of external representatives from VenAmCham's Alianza Social and Intequim, a long-term vision and strategy was formed for Venezuela's contribution to the AIESEC 2010 vision and to Venezuela as a country.

That contribution will be:

  1. AIESEC Venezuela - through projects of coroporate responsibility and social entrepreneurship - is developing a culture of social conscience in the community alongside the private and public sectors.

  2. AIESEC Venezuela increases the number of active members through excellent recruitment planning and generation of opportunities to grow and connect with society.

  3. AIESEC Venezuela has a national stability and is executing a plan of expansion in cities close to where we are established.

  4. AIESEC Venezuela is recognised. By generating high impact in society through our actions and strategic aliances with private sector, public sector and the community in general.

  5. AIESEC Venezuela brings opportunities of integration with society and has members who are active after their internship experience.

The conference was also an opportunity for AIESEC to recognise its talent, with awards given to members for demonstrating the values of AIESEC:

  • Enjoying Participation: Valentina Maraima · UCAB
  • Demonstrating Integrity: Tabita Luis · UCAB
  • Living Diversity: Alejandro Vilora · UNIMET
  • Acting Sustainably: Marlies Endres · UNIMET
  • Striving for Excellence: Carlos Rosales · Valencia
  • Activating Leadership: Ana Carolina Vásquez · UNIMET
AIESEC Maracaibo was recognised with awards for Excellence in Management of the International Exchange Program and as Most Progressive Local Committee.

AIESEC UNIMET was recognised with awards for Excellence in Financial and Legal Management and as Most Innovative Local Committee - in a large part recognising their work on Ser Más project Conocimiento Sin Límites which is poised to develop key skills in labourers in Venezuelan companies.

Upon completing their leadership development seminar, AIESEC Venezuela welcomed twelve new full members. In UCAB: Marlyn Arallan, Carmen Duque and Valentina Maraima; in UNIMET: Cristina Bley, Carolina Ferrero, Daniela Michelena Klapper, Monica Pierantozzi, Legna Prieto, Andrea Schilling and Cristian Sierralta; in USB: Naymar Méndez; and in Maracaibo: Sugeidy Estrada.

This new generation will be playing a big role in making the contribution of AIESEC Venezuela to the 2010 vision happen, and in delivering projects, learning and exchange experiences based on the regional Ser Más initiative.
