Uwe Doerken, CEO DHL Express Americas, Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific Initiated through a pilot programme of 16 internships in Asia Pacific region for 2002/2003, the Exchange Partnership between AIESEC and DHL turned global in the next year, when it saw 30 trainees being placed in DHL offices in Belgium, Singapore, US, Chile, Malaysia, Philippines, India. The partnership has been re-signed for the year 2004/2005 with a commitment of delivering again 30 high quality traineeship opportunities, worldwide. For this edition of the program the objectives are to expand to new regions and countries in Americas, Europe, Asia Pacific, Emerging Markets, and to increase the awareness of the program within the DHL network.
