AIESEC is the world's largest student organization, founded in 1948., when a group of students thought practical work and the circulation of knowledge through the globe provides the opportunity to develop one’s potential and, in the end, lets one have a positive impact on society and the community. AIESEC exists in 110 countries worldwide and has over 45 000 members.

AIESEC has been operating in Croatia since 1953.. Today the Republic of Croatia hosts 5 active local committees: Osijek, Rijeka, Split, Varaždin and Zagreb , led by the Croatian AIESEC Members Committee. The actual number of members is over 300. Some of the projects organized by LC Zagreb are:

Our local community has also been the first to organize the “Career days” project, providing for its members and other students the opportunity to learn more about companies and work opportunities, thus connecting with them. Companies, on the other hand, can get familiar with the promising young people who might want to get employed someday in a large, well-known company.

Zagreb’s local community every year takes part in international professional practices, enabling young people, eager for knowledge and experience, to gain work practice in any country with an active AIESEC community. Foreign interns coming to Croatia are especially taken care of: after we welcome them in our beautiful city, we take care of every need they have and do everything possible to make their stay enjoyable. Every year we host about 7 interns, allowing them an unforgettable experience that consists of practicing in the selected companies, getting to know the members of our local community and learning new things about Zagreb and the Croatian culture. It is often the case that, once foreign interns get to know Croatia and its people, they wish to come back and taste some more.
