AIESEC, the world's largest student organization, is the international platform for young people to discover and develop their potential so as to have a positive impact on society.

 

Each year, AIESEC has provided over 7,700 leadership positions and delivered over 470 conferences to our membership of over 35,000 students , AIESEC also runs an exchange program that has so far enabled an annual amount of over 5,500 students and recent graduates the opportunity to live and work in another country.

 

We attract and cultivate young people with global mindsets while giving organizations an incredible opportunity to interact and access young people from all corners of the globe. We partner with a wide variety of organizations, from multinational to small business, non-profit to government.

 

AIESEC has a strong presence on four university campuses in the biggest two cities of Egypt, Cairo and Alexandria. AIESEC Egypt was founded in 1974 on the campus of the largest university in Africa and the Middle East, Cairo University (CU). Then AIESEC Egypt’s presence has spread out to the campuses of the American University in Cairo (AUC), the Arab Academy for Science and Technology in Alexandria (AAST), and the Arab Academy for Science and Technology in Cairo (AAST Cairo). The National Committee of AIESEC Egypt is a registered NGO under the Ministry of Social Affairs. The national office is located in Maadi, Cairo.

Momentum!!!!!!!
 
 
After we have all  been a while in our functions, and have taken part in different activities we are now eager to know what are the other LCs upto? Where are we standing now? And what will be our next steps to make sure we are on track to reaching our goals?
Momentum 2010 is going to cover all that and more. Momentim would be having two tracks. The first is the LR track which would involve the whole leadership body including project managers,team leaders and team managers. The second track is the TR track for all members and EPs. The tracks would revolve around the conference objectives of boosting exchange,promoting leadership and accountability to the national plenary.Momentum will take place in Ras Sidr from 5th of Feb till 7th of Feb ,with AIESEC AAST Cairo organizing it.  
 
 

Global Entrepreneurship Week (Egypt)

 

 

 

AIESEC Egypt Partner GEW Egypt is launching on Sunday 15th November The Global Entrepreneurship week in Egypt. The event lasts for a week, till 22nd November. Launch Day is Sunday,November 15. The main hosts for the event are:
Middle East Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship(MCSBE),Industrial Modernisation Center(IMC),Social Fund for Development(SFD) and Egyptian Junior Business Association(EJB) . It takes place in Egypt and globaly.

For one week, millions of young people around the world will join a growing movement of entrepreneurial people, to generate new ideas and to seek better ways of doing things. Countries across six continents are coming together to celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week, an initiative to inspire young people to embrace innovation, imagination and creativity. To think big. To turn their ideas into reality. To make their mark.

From 16 - 22 November 2009 , Global Entrepreneurship Week will connect young Egyptians everywhere through local and national activities designed to help them explore their potential as self-starters and innovators. Students, educators, entrepreneurs, business leaders, employees, non-profit leaders, government officials and many others will participate in a range of activities, from online to face-to-face, and from large-scale competitions and events to intimate networking gatherings.

   Just Joined AIESEC and eager to know the true essence of becoming an AIESECR ? Well, that's what  ACTIVATE is all about. ACTIVATE is our upcoming conference starting 5th Nov and lasting till the 7th where all AIESEC Egypt members would be coing together to get energised for the year they are heading into. ACTIVATE is one the omst motivational conferences in AIESEC Egypt where new members get introduced to AIESEC and members moving forward into their AIESEC XP are getting to know more about being an AIESECer and what to expect from their current XP position. ACTIVATE will take place in Ras Sidr ,with AIESEC AAST Alex organizing it.

 
 
AIESEC Alumnus Wins Nobel Peace Prize
 
Martti Ahtisaari, former President of AIESEC Finland (1963-1965), a former President of Finland (1994–2000), 2008 Nobel Peace Prize winner and United Nations diplomat and mediator, noted for his international peace work. Martti Ahtisaari
The Norwegian Nobel Committee has decided to award the Nobel Peace Prize for 2008 to Martti Ahtisaari for his important efforts, on several continents and over more than three decades, to resolve international conflicts. These efforts have contributed to a more peaceful world and to “fraternity between nations” in Alfred Nobel’s spirit.
Throughout all his adult life, whether as a senior Finnish public servant and President or in an international capacity, often connected to the United Nations, Ahtisaari has worked for peace and reconciliation. For the past twenty years, he has figured prominently in endeavors to resolve several serious and long-lasting conflicts.
