SKOPJE; Macedonia (February 20, 2008) - Today is the first day of International
Presidents Meeting 2008 (IPM), a conference that every year gathers current and elected presidents
of AIESEC member countries. The afternoon of this day is devoted to the presentation of culture and
economy of the member countries.
AIESEC Pakistan has decided to use this event to launch another stage of its campaign named
Experience Pakistan. With this campaign we aim to promote Pakistan to and through the global AIESEC
network of more than 100 countries. We aim to present Pakistan as a tourist destination, but most
of all as a country with an economy that offers amazing opportunities for foreign cooperation.
KARACHI, LAHORE, ISLAMABAD; Pakistan (February 18, 2008) - One of the main opportunities that
AIESEC offers to its members - students of universities, is to participate in the International
Traineeship Program that allows them to work for a period of time on management associate positions
in various organisations abroad. During the 3 years of existence of AIESEC Pakistan we have seen
them being accepted for positions in organisations that include e.g. DHL Belgium, DHL UK,
Alcatel-Lucent UK, ABN-AMRO Singapore.
The selection process, from among current members and also new applicants, to become trainees abroad is finishing during these days. We expect more than 15 young people to pass the selection and within the next 6 months go for traineeships of their choice in one of more than 100 AIESEC countries.
If your organisation is interested in obtaining a trainee from abroad to work in the field of e.g. marketing, IT, HR finance or CSR, feel free to contact the Vice-president of AIESEC Pakistan responsible for the program:

KARACHI; Pakistan (January 19, 2008) - Namira Salim is a Karachi-born artist, currently living in
South France. These days she has again brought Pakistan to global attention when she hoisted the
flag of Pakistan on South Pole after doing the same on North Pole in 2007. She also will be the
first Pakistani woman to fly to space (expected in 2009), being among the first batch of commercial
space passengers flying with Virgin Galactic.
Namira Salim has been a member of AIESEC US and later was the founding member of AIESEC Pakistan in 1993 (Pakistan lost membership later in 1995) and is a supporter of AIESEC and its aims till these days. These are the words she and her brothers Nabil & Sajil addressed to the plenary of AIESEC Pakistan in 2007:
" Being AIESEC-ers in the US, when we arrived to our homeland [Pakistan], we were met with young leaders like ourselves and with unprecedented support from the private and public sectors, as we saw AIESEC take off in flying colors.
Then there were challenges, but the future of AIESEC Pakistan was re-defined by young stars like yourselves [members of AIESEC Pakistan after re-establishment in 2005] who continue to carry the torch of peace and international understanding & who train to become universal mindsets amongst the colors that divide nations…"
